Night at the Museum

Here is a series of highlights from the Natural History Museum. These animals are real and were captured and killed for the purpose of the museum, under the presidency of Teddy Roosevelt. Although it saddens me to think of their sacrifice, they have educated millions and enable us to get close in a way we'd otherwise not be able to.

The Rams...my favorite.

Brian taking a photo of an Brown Bear from the Montana region of the U.S. I wanted Brian in the shot to give you an idea of how massive these bears are when on two legs.

Too bad Sara Palin isn't in the middle of this fight between these Alaskan moose!

An upclose shot of a tiger ready to fight...look at those teeth!!!!

Natural History

As a birthday gift, Brian surprised me and brought me to the Natural History museum. Here you see the skeleton of T-Rex...massive!

Mind the Gap

It's always strange when you find yourself totally alone on the subway car...especially in a city where you are truly NEVER ALONE. And, since this subway car is bigger than my sublet, I figure this is the most physical space I've had to myself in about 8 weeks!

Band on the Run

Brian playing keyboards with Foreign Born and the Veils on their final night in Brooklyn.

Happy Birthday to me!

Morgan, Jason and Stuart were kind enough to surprise me with a little birthday cake when in DC for the weekend. They were also kind enough to not put 30 candles in it!

I'm leaving...not on a jet plane.

Penn Station, en route to the Foreign Born show in Washington, DC. Who knew that one could actually travel by way of train in the U.S.? I thought that was just something that the hip Euro countries did! ;)

You can take the girl out of LA...

...but you can't take LA out of the girl! A photo of me napping on bus route to our nation's capitol for the holiday weekend.

Nobody's Walking in LA

I am quickly learning how to walk again in NYC. Here's a street scene from SOHO not far from Claire's apartment.

When Harry Left Sally

Here I am...at the iconic NYU arch! The spot where, according to my NYC partner in crime Claire Holzman, Harry (Billy Crystal) left Sally (Meg Ryan) post cross country road trip. Lucky for me, Claire decided against leaving me here!
